Hello everyone.
It’s been a week of festive fun……….Christmas maths, Christmas jumpers, baking, parties, music, a KS1 and Early Years production and even a staff Christmas video for the children.
Thank you to the many parents, grandparents and governors who attended our final Funky Friday Assembly of 2023. It is always lovely to finish the week in such a positive way. It was also an opportunity to say goodbye to Alan Dickson who has stepped down as Co-Chair of Governors. Alan will continue volunteering in the school, listening to KS1 readers, but we felt it was fitting for him to be thanked for everything he has done for the school. Alan has been a Governor since 2014 and Chair since 2016 so thoroughly deserves the Oscar that he was presented with yesterday. On behalf of all the Governors and staff Alan…..thank you!
Oscars
Congratulations to Evie and Harvey who also received Oscars this week. Evie gets her for being an absolute star! She is shining in Year 6. A talented guitarist, a superb actor and someone with a passion for learning. Harvey gets his after I received an email last week telling me about his sense of community and willingness to help others. He is a member of the cub section of Shoreham Beach Scout Group and always puts himself forward to volunteer at fundraising events for both the renovation of the new scout hut and other charitable causes such as making gift parcels for a local food bank.
Golden Ticketers
Golden Ticketers this week are: Raphael and Felix (Minnows), Felicity and Miles (Seashells), Lawrie and Ivy (Starfish), Orla and Remy (Dolphins), Faith and Juke (Lighthouse), Demi and Archie (Coral) and Lena and Seren (Ocean). Well done all of you.
Attendance Matters
The class with the best attendance this week is Starfish Class with 98.9%. They chose to have a very festive looking Jazmine. Thank you to Mrs Lamper for making all of the monkeys look suitably dressed for Christmas.
Straw and Order
Well done to Minnows, Seashells and Starfish Class who treated us to their production of ‘Straw and Order’. The hall was packed with parents and grandparents for both performances. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you to the staff for their hard work in putting it on.
