Weekend Blog 04.05.24 – May the Fourth Be With You

Hello everyone.

Happy Star Wars Day.

FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY

Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who attended our Funky Friday Assembly. Thankfully there were no shocks from the guitar amp – although it’s good to know that Mr Winstone was ready to step in!

OSCARS

Congratulations to Amelie (Year 3) on being presented with an Oscar. Amelie received an Oscar because she is such a considerate, thoughtful and hardworking member of the class. She loves learning and always goes the extra mile when researching interesting facts about our learning journeys both at school and at home. Amelie is always happy, she will work with anyone in the class and always gives her time freely to others who need support with their learning. She is a star pupil!

GOLD AWARDS

There were four Gold Awards this week. Congratulations to Millie, Alicija, Freya and Elyse.

GOLDEN TICKETERS

Golden Ticketers this week are: Sienna and Freddie (Minnows), Edden and Hannah (Seashells), Lawrie and Indie (Starfish), Delilah and Ella (Dolphins), Maggie and Harvey (Lighthouse), Quinn and Lily (Coral), Rosie and Scirocco (Ocean). Well done to you all.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Lighthouse Class achieved the best attendance this week with 99.0%. They chose to have Siam for the week.

GEORGE’S OSCAR

For many months George has been asking if Mr Winstone can be presented with an Oscar. I explained that Oscars are really for the children. So whilst in Brighton with his mum last weekend George bought Mr Winstone his very own Oscar.

POND LIFE

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated weed and pond plants to the pond. We even had some wild flower seeds donated by one of our teacher applicants this week. The pond is certainly taking shape. If you look closely at the photos – you might even see some pond life. If anyone can donate any lilies – that would be fabulous. Thank you.

HARLEY’S CORNER

“Hello everyone. Unbelievable! There I was all prepared to interview the teacher candidates this week and I wasn’t even invited to be on the panel. I did get to spend time with some lovely Year 6 children though! What do you think of our underwater tunnel Grandma?”

WE HAVE SPACES FOR SEPTEMBER

Have a lovely long weekend everyone.
