Weekend Blog 21.09.24 – Water and Photography

Hello everyone.

Thank you to those parents who said how much they appreciated the chance to meet the teacher in the welcome meetings this week. Thank you to staff for giving up your time to share plans for this year.

CAPTURED

FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY

Thank you to the parents and grandparents who joined us in our Funky Friday Assembly yesterday. You will be pleased to know that Mr Strudwick is feeling much better!

 

OSCAR

Congratulations to Ella (Year 2) on being presented with an Oscar. Her teacher wrote this about her…….Ella is a true role model to the whole class, always ready to learn, pushing herself to be the very best she can be. She never makes a fuss and is very happy to help keep the classroom clean and tidy, offering to do any jobs quickly and quietly. Ella is caring and nurturing to her friends, encouraging and supporting them in lessons and on the playground.  She is an true superstar!

 

GOLDEN TICKETERS

Maisie and Kiegan (Seashells), Hunter and Poppy (Starfish), Effie and Aidan (Dolphins), Frances and Archie (Lighthouse), Jared and Maxine (Coral), Tala and Rosie (Ocean). Well done to you all.

 

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

The class with the best attendance this week is Seashells class with 97.8%. They chose to have Jasmine the monkey for a week.

 

SWIMMING SUCCESS FOR LILY AND THEO

Congratulations to Lily and Theo (Year 5) who attended a swimming gala last weekend in Brighton and both swam very well indeed. They entered five races each and won 5 gold medals! Wow!

 

LOLA HITS THE WAVES

Congratulations to Lola (Year 5) who entered the world belly boarding championships. She made it to the final and was placed 4th girl and 8th overall in the under 12s. Unbelievable! Well done Lola.

 

 

HARLEY’S CORNER

SPECIAL BADGES ARE ON THEIR WAY

Badges have been ordered for those Year 5 and 6 children who will be Digital Leaders, Sports Leaders, STEM Leaders, Librarians and members of the ECO Team. I am so looking forward to seeing them take on their new responsibilities. These roles will be given to different children each term.

 

WOLF ART

Year 4 investigated a range of wolf artists and then created their own pieces using media of their choice.

 

LEARNING IN MINNOWS 

 

PICTURE THIS

Nala (Year 5) shared some photographs she had taken…….published in her own book! The images were taken whilst she was in France. They were amazing!

LEARNING IN STARFISH

In computing, Year 2 were exploring the difference between information and technology, using the iPads to take photos.
