Weekend Blog 18.01.25 – Ofsted Pride

Hello everyone.

OFSTED

I hope you have found the time to read our recently published Ofsted report. As I said when I sent it to you, although it was an ‘ungraded’ inspection, we are very pleased with the many positive comments that have been made in this report. The inspector acknowledged that the two suggested areas for improvement had already been identified by the school in September and are already being addressed. We are very proud of our school.

CAPTURED

More learning moments captured by Mrs Noble:

FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY

Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who attended this week’s Funky Friday Assembly.

OSCARS

Congratulations to Juke on being presented an Oscar.

Juke received his Oscar because of his ‘I can’ attitude and he should be so proud of the fantastic progress he has made this year. He did incredibly well when he read in front of a school visitor recently and showed an excellent understanding of what he was reading. He is loving the Year 5 Learning Journey on Space and we think he is a star!

GOLDEN TICKETERS

Golden Ticketers this week are:

Elyot and Skylar (Minnows), Kiegan and Arisa-Mai (Seashells), Bonnie and Charly (Starfish), Layla and Bella (Dolphins), Herbie and Florence (Lighthouse), Maxine and Riley (Coral), Eryn and Damien (Ocean). Well done to you all.

GOLD AWARDS

Congratulations to Grace and Jude on receiving Gold Awards.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Congratulations to Dolphins Class with 96.8%. The Monkey Randomiser chose Vesper for them.

GOING WILD IN MINNOWS!

Minnows are enjoying their learning journey. They have been looking at wild animals this week. They found out that Lions spend 21 hours a day either sleeping or resting. They have also started making their own wild animals out of a range of different resources.

They have also been digging up weeds and old veg to get ready to plant again as well as enjoying the climbing apparatus and making patterns.

HARLEY’S CORNER

“Hello everyone. Did you know TalkSport are celebrating 25 years of presenting their sports radio shows. This is me telling Eliza, Emmy and Ronnie all about TalkSport when they came to show me their wonderful work. Tell you all about it tomorrow Grandma.”

HIT IT!

Year 3 have moved from learning the recorder onto playing the Djembe Drums. Here are some photographs from their session this week.
