Weekend Blog 26.04.25 – Outdoor Fun!

Hello everyone.

Welcome back. The children have settled in well and the summer term is already looking exciting with clubs, trips and many learning opportunities.

OUTDOOR FUN

Our Year 4 pupils had a fabulous time at their Activity Day and Sleepover. They thoroughly enjoyed the climbing, bowling, golf and adventure nets. Thank you to the staff for giving up their time to ensure the children were safe and enjoyed the experience. A special mention to Mr Strudwick, Mrs Bennett, Mrs Hampton and Miss Mann who had the pleasure of your children overnight!!

FACTOID OF THE WEEK

Hear Harley’s factoid in his ‘Harley Talk’ video below.

CAPTURED

We’ve only been back a few days, but here are some learning moments captured by Kayley and Miss Mann:

FUNKY FRIDAY

There was no Funky Friday Assembly yesterday,. It will return next week with Golden Tickets, Gold Awards, a double Monkey randomiser, plenty of singing and of course, Oscars.

EASTER CLUB

Thank you to VIM Camps for running an Easter Holiday Club from our bus over the break. It was very well attended and the children had a great time. Watch out for a half term holiday club running over a few days during the half term break. Details are at the bottom of this blog.

PLASTICINE WITH SEASHELLS
Seashells Class were involved in some plasticine printing this week, experimenting with the different textures that various objects made.

DANCE WITH MEGAN

Megan is our new dance teacher. She will be working with each class this term and piecing together some fabulous dance routines. Here are a few photographs from her session with Year 3.

PEBBLES PRE-SCHOOL

As I’m sure you are aware, Pebbles Pre-school will no longer be operating from Church of the Good Shepherd. This is the second local pre-school to close or relocate in a relatively short space of time and is such a shame for local families and young children.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on whether there would be interest in the school becoming involved in running a pre-school for the families on the beach. Please email me: [email protected]

COMING UP

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
