Weekend Blog 07.06.25 – Shiny Happy People

Hello everyone.

It’s been another busy week at Shoreham Beach Primary with exciting learning opportunities, new discoveries and many shiny happy people in the school. Just check out the photos in this week’s blog.

FACTOID OF THE WEEK

Apparently, only a few people can lick their elbow.

CAPTURED

Here are some learning moments in and around school captured by Mrs Noble:

FUNKY FRIDAY

Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who attended our Funky Friday assembly yesterday. It was another fun one.

OSCAR

Congratulations to Daisy (Year 4).

Daisy was nominated for her resilience over the last two years. She always asks and answers questions in class, and will smile when she gets something wrong and happily has another try. Daisy is always helpful in class and willing to do any jobs to help keep the classroom tidy. She is kind to younger pupils and very helpful in Mrs Clarke`s morning fitness club. Daisy displays such a friendly and kind attitude which is wonderful to see; she really is an excellent role model for the younger children. We are so proud of the progress Daisy has made. Being resilient, she has a great future ahead of her

May I also take this opportunity of apologising to Elsa (Year 4). Elsa was presented with an Oscar last week, but her photograph didn’t appear in the blog. Here she is:

GOLD AWARDS

Congratulations to the following lovely children on being presented with Gold Awards: Oakley, Maya and Lily. It was a double whammy for Maya and Lily, who also received Golden Tickets.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

The class with the best attendance this week is Ocean Class with 97.6%. The Randomiser chose Vesper for them to have for the week.

YEAR 3 & 4 ROUNDERS

On Wednesday, our Year 3/4 pupils were involved in a rounders tournament at Shoreham Academy. We came 5th out of 8. The children played so well –  even though lots of them hadn’t played before.
