Hello everyone.
OUR NEW NURSERY IS NOW OPEN
Exciting times! Our new nursery is now open to families with children 2 years old and above. Yesterday we had our grand opening with many parents and children exploring our new equipment and resources. The expressions on the faces said it all. On Monday, the children will join us for their first day at Shoreham Beach Nursery.
A huge thank you to everyone for making it happen. So much hard work and dedication has gone into ensuring we have a top-notch nursery as part of the school. I love it when a plan comes together!
Please see our website (or contact the school office) for further details and a registration form.
FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Thank you to the parents and grandparents who attended yesterday’s Funky Friday Assembly. We are hoping that Minnows class will join us soon and enjoy the Funky Friday fun.
CAPTURED
Here are some learning moments in and around school, captured by Mrs Noble:
OSCARS
Congratulations to Jared and Lyla (both year 6) who were presented with Oscars this week. Both have shown so much care and kindness towards the Minnows. It has been lovely seeing them holding the hands of our youngest children to make sure they get back to their class safely after having lunch. Lyla and Jared have also been working incredibly hard in class. They give everything a go and are just lovely. Well done you two.
GOLDEN TICKETS
Congratulations to our Golden Ticketers: Phoebe and Taha (Year 1), Sidney and Eliza (Year 2), Charly and Ella (Year 3), Didi and Lydia (Year 4), Daniel and Alana-Mai (Year 5), Hannah and Alex (Year 6).
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
As you know, attendance is important to us and we don’t want your child to miss any learning or social time with their friends.
The class with the best attendance this week is Ocean Class. They achieved 99.6% and the Attendance Randomiser selected Derek for them to look after for a week.
HARLEY TALK
A message from Harley Bear:
RILEY’S HYDRAULIC HAND
Last weekend, Riley (Year 6) made a hydraulic hand. It is a fabulous piece of technology. Thank you for bringing it in and letting us have a go Riley.
NO NAME……NO CLAIM (A message from Howl and Flynn)
Howl and Flynn in Year 4 are responsible for returning items of uniform that have been left in the playground at the end of break and lunch time. They have asked me to give you the following message:
Please can all parents label their child’s clothing. The lost property is rapidly filling up and we don’t want to add to it. Please put names on all clothing belonging to your child. Thank you. Howl and Flynn.
EVIE
Evie (Year 4) achieved her Level 5 gymnastics award at Gold Standard. Well done Evie.
DISPLAY
This music display caught my eye this week.
PROSPECTIVE PARENTS
If you have a child starting school in September 2026 – why not come and visit our lovely school.
Have a lovely weekend.
