Happy Saturday everyone,
GET ON BOARD THE FUNKY FRIDAY BIKE BUS
A big thank you to Luke Munroe (Charly & Kayla’s dad) who has started a Funky Friday Bike Bus. It rode for the second time yesterday.
Everyone is welcome to join. They meet at Beach Green near the beach huts anytime from 8am and start rolling 08:15. They will head along Old Fort Road, lap Falcon Close (if time permits), continue round past the fort/sailing club, then back along Harbour Way to the school. So join from the start or as we pass your nearest street.
FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who attended yesterday’s Funky Friday Assembly. Thank you to Mr Herriott for being a good sport. He has promised to practise the Kazoo all weekend ready for the next Funky Friday Assembly!
CAPTURED
Here are some learning moments from in and around school this week, captured by Miss Watson:
OSCAR
Congratulations to Theo (Year 6) on being presented with an Oscar. Theo is polite, responsible, kind, organised, helpful and has the most positive attitude to learning. He is an outstanding sportsperson and has a talent for music also. Theo gives everything 100% and is always willing to help those who are less confident. We all think Theo is amazing and we are planning to hide him so he stays with us for another few years rather than go to secondary school. Well done Theo.
GOLD AWARD
Congratulations to Edden, Indie, Teddy, Aiden and Polly on receiving Gold Award certificates this week. This is Polly’s tenth mention in the Log Book this year. Wow!
GOLDEN TICKETS
Congratulations to our Golden Ticketers: Orla (Reception), Ayanna and Otis (Year 1), Aurelia and Jenson (Year 2), Hunter and Freya (Year 3), Hugo and Maisie (Year 5), Poppy and Jared (Year 6).
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
The class with the best attendance this week is Minnows Class with 100%. The Attendance Randomiser selected Zeus for them to have for the week.
HARLEY TALK
A message from Harley Bear:
BASKETBALL
A write-up by Bodhi (Year 5):
On Wednesday, 5 x Year five pupils and 5 x Year six pupils went to a basketball festival at Sir Robert Woodard Academy this week. We had coaching sessions and competed against 3 schools in matches. Everyone showed good sportsmanship, so although we didn’t win every match, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
NURSERY TIME
It’s been a very busy week in Nursery.
POND LIFE
We have tadpoles. Hundreds of them.
MINNOWS MOMENTS
