Happy Saturday everyone.
NEW WEBSITE
Our current website is 6 years old. It is the first thing I introduced when I gained the position of Headteacher at Shoreham Beach Primary School. It has 20,000 visits a year and this week will see it updated and refreshed. You will still get a weekly blog and be able to see photographs, videos, documents and the calendar – but it will be a more friendly format and look a little more contemporary.
CAPTURED
Here are a few learning moments from this week, captured by Miss Watson:
FUNKY FRIDAY
Thank you to those parents and grandparents who attended our first Funky Friday Assembly of the year. There are a few changes including Mr Herriott sharing a music fact each week (did you know that Mozart composed his first symphony at the age of seven?) and the introduction of Flynn, Remy, Howl and Hugo in the school band. Didn’t they sound great?! They have the following of BTS and the attitude of The Foo Fighters.
GOLDEN TICKETS
The following children received Golden Tickets this week:
Gully and Rabiya (Year 1), Grace and Lily (Year 2), Imogen and Ellis (Year 3), Hunter and Lily (Year 4), Lua and Bella (Year 5), Orla and Stanley (Year 6). Well done to you all.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
SPOT THE DOG
The class with the best attendance this week is Lighthouse Class with 99.4%. The Attendance Randomiser selected Derek for them to have for the week. Can you spot him in the class photo?
HARLEY SAYS…..
MARVELLOUS MINNOWS
MRS FLAKE
As some of you know, Mrs Crowhurst got married over the summer break and is now known as Mrs Flake. Congratulations.
ELSA
Elsa (Year 6) was playing “Easy on Me” by Adele at Brighton train station last week, when a girl came over and asked if she could play and sing along with her. Everyone at home is so proud of her! Well done Elsa.
