Hello everyone.
As you know, the children achieved their Spring target of 20,000 merit points and this week enjoyed their whole school treat. A huge thank you to Andy from School Magic Shows for making us laugh and entertaining us with some fabulous magic tricks involving milk, water, a drill and little Harvey and an orange. The children (and staff) loved it! http://www.schoolmagicshows.co.uk/

ART FOR ARTS SAKE
On Monday, Amy Frankie-Smith (Elara’s mum) led a fabulous art session for staff as part of a Professional Development Meeting. Staff thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different outcomes that can be achieved by using vibrant water colour paints on quality paper. Thank you to Amy and Elara for an inspiring session. https://www.instagram.com/amyfrankiesmith/

FUNKY FRIDAY
Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who attended our final Funky Friday Assembly of this term. The hall was packed. I hope you left with a smile on your face.
OSCARS
Congratulations to Louis, Bella and Maeva on being presented with an Oscar each.
Maeva has worked so hard in all of her learning. Her phonics skills have progressed so much and it is reflected in all of her writing. She has found her voice in the classroom and everyone has seen her confidence soar. We’re so proud of her achievements this year.
Bella has represented the school in such a positive way recently – both at a girls’ football event and during the school trip to Brighton Museum. She embodies the values we hope to see in every child – kindness, hard work, curiosity, and cooperation. She approaches every challenge with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, always eager to learn, help others, and work as part of a team. Best of all, she does it all with a bright smile! You are amazing, Bella, and we are all immensely proud of you!
Louis is having a spectacular year, for so many reasons. What stands out to us every single day is that he is a kind, thoughtful, hard-working, lovely young man; a real pleasure to have in the class. He’s so personable – charming, funny and knowledgeable – and he shares his passion for music, comedy and sport with those around him. We’ve always believed in him, and it’s wonderful to see him believing in himself too. We know that when he gets to Year 7, he’s going to be an absolute hit with his teachers and popular with his peers. You’re a total superstar Louis!
