Hello everyone.
Happy Saturday.
NANUMA
Over the last five weeks, Year 6 have been studying African music and how it has influenced modern day music and artists. They researched the origins of African songs and then recorded their version of the Ghanaian song ‘Nanuma’ with non-pitched percussion, hand claps and chanting. Here is the recording:
FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who attended yesterday’s Funky Friday Assembly. I hope it put a smile on your face as we celebrated the achievements from the week. A special mention to Rufus in Year 3. Not only did his grandad Graham sort out my poorly guitar which decided not to work, but Rufus himself gave a little guitar concert at the end of the day to his classmates. Thank you Graham and well done Rufus.
