Weekend Blog 24.01.26 – Just Jump!

Happy Saturday everyone,

Sometimes it’s okay to take risks. Try things you’ve never tried before. Face your fears. Be adventurous. Give it a go. Be courageous. Embrace the opportunity. We ask teachers to take risks with their planning to make the learning even more exciting. We even ask children to take risks with their writing. The reward is in the risk. Just jump!

On Wednesday, the children literally jumped. Each class had a 30-minute skipping workshop. For some children it was easy. For others, it was a challenge. But they all gave it a go and everyone supported each other.

FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY

Thank you to all those parents and grandparents who attended yesterday’s Funky Friday Assembly. As you know, it was National Pie Day. Which pie is your favourite? Steak & Ale? Potato? Mushroom & Lentil? Christmas Mince? Cheese & Onion?  Chicken? Fruit? Curried vegetable? Or Mrs Bennett’s favourite, Pork Pie.

CAPTURED

Here are some learning moments from in and around school this week, captured by Mrs Noble:

OSCAR

Congratulations to Alex (Year 6) on being presented with an Oscar. So many members of staff have mentioned how much Alex deserves an Oscar. He is kind, thoughtful, incredibly caring, quietly confident about his maths, enthusiastic about learning and has a great sense of humour. He is such a lovely pupil that we have decided to keep him here at Shoreham Beach Primary rather than allowing him to move on to secondary school at the end of the academic year. Alex – you are an absolute superstar. Well done.

GOLD AWARD

Congratulations to Juke (Year 6) and Molly (Year 2) on being presented with Gold Award certificates for five mentions in the Log Book. They certainly waved their hands in the air like they just don’t care!

GOLDEN TICKETS

Congratulations to our Golden Ticketers: Sonny and Esther (Reception), Ayanna and Bluebell (Year 1), Demi and Ellis (Year 2), Payton and Benji (Year 3), Aidan and Bella (Year 4), Bodhi and Ella (Year 5), Hannah and Enoch (Year 6).

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

The class with the best attendance this week is Ocean Class with 98.5%. The Attendance Randomiser selected Little Harley for them to have for the week. Well done Ocean Class.
