Happy Saturday everyone,
Iris and Jenny (Year 6 pupils) are currently editing their stop-frame animation using LEGO to create a scene from ‘Romeo and Juliet’. This got me thinking………
Did you know that in Danish, LEGO means ‘play well’ and in Latin, it means ‘I put together’. How brilliant is that?! And such a great phrase when we look at what the children have created in their lessons this week
FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Thank you to all those parents and grandparents who attended yesterday’s Funky Friday Assembly. Congratulations to the Ustunel-Nuttall brothers (Felix, Reuben and Sonni) all of whom received Golden Tickets this week without any of the teachers talking to each other. Whatever the boys had for breakfast – we all need some.
CAPTURED
Here are some learning moments from in and around school this week, captured by Mrs Noble:
OSCAR
Congratulations to Alfie (Year 4) on being presented with an Oscar this week.
Alfie is so motivated to learn and loves the class learning journeys and maths challenges. He is always keen to share his understanding and questions with the class. Alfie gets so excited to share his learning that he often ends up jumping up and down as he cannot contain his excitement. He excels in computing lessons and quickly grasps and applies new concepts. Alfie loves comic books and often brings in comics he has created at home to share with the class. We are all so proud of the progress Alfie has made this year. Well done Alfie.
GOLD AWARD
No Gold Awards this week.
GOLDEN TICKETS
Congratulations to our Golden Ticketers: Sonni and Josh (Reception), Lily and Parker (Year 1), Sienna and Maeva (Year 2), Tash and Jeta (Year 3), Nimitan and Reuben (Year 4), Cara and Mira (Year 5), Felix and Ella (Year 6).
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
The class with the best attendance this week is Coral Class with 98.3%. The Attendance Randomiser selected Little Harley for them to have for the week. Well done Coral Class.
