Weekend Blog 16.05.26 – Well Done Year 6

Happy Saturday everyone,

YEAR 6 SATS

Well done to our Year 6 pupils who this week were involved in sitting the End of KS2 SATs. These are Government standardised tests taken to measure the standards in English and Maths. Every pupil in Ocean Class remained focused and tried their very best throughout the week. We are very proud of them.

Thank you to the staff who were involved in ensuring the children felt confident and positive during the week – including those who provided and served breakfast each day. To quote one parent “Mr Strugnell’s scrambled egg is legendary.”

CAPTURED

Here are some learning moments from in and around school this week, captured by Miss Watson:

NURSERY TIME

We have a number of different sessions available for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Contact the school office and come and visit our Nursery. Don’t miss out.

POPPY’S GRANDAD

A big thank you to Poppy’s grandad who donated a wooden crocodile puzzle to the school. He made it himself. Thank you so much Poppy’s grandad.

PTFA UPDATE

The PTFA are looking to put on a summer fair fundraiser again this year, with the aim to raise money towards a SEND pod for the school. We are looking at a provisional date of Friday 10th July for the fair.  However this is only going to be possible with the help and support of others.

We will be looking for people to support in various ways/roles. We are looking for:

  • 3/4 people to run a BBQ
  • Several helpers to set up/clear up before and after the event
  • 6 or so volunteers to oversee stalls (including sourcing volunteers to run the stalls on the day and sourcing materials required for the stall – all with support and guidance  of PTFA)

If you are able to help volunteer with any of the above, please email [email protected] by Friday 22nd May, or feel free to find either Charlotte or Sophie to discuss.  We are also looking to expand the PTFA and take on new committee members. If you are interested in an informal chat, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you!

As always, thank you for your support!
