Happy Saturday everyone,
THE FIFA WORLD CUP
The World Cup started this week and as always, each member of staff and class pulled a team from the hat. It’s a great opportunity to learn about other countries, other cultures and other traditions. Here are the class teams for you to enjoy following with your child:
FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who joined us for our Funky Friday Assembly yesterday. It was packed! I hope you enjoyed the occasion.
CAPTURED
Here are some learning moments from this week, captured by Miss Watson:
OSCAR
Congratulations to Felix (Year 2) on being presented with an Oscar. Felix is a delight. Over the course of the year, he has shown such enthusiasm for learning, sharing ideas, helping other people and throwing himself into everything he does. He can speak so maturely about how he is feeling and what he finds tricky. He is thoughtful, reflective and has developed skills that will last a lifetime. Mr Collinson says that he has the utmost respect and admiration for Felix and that he truly is a special Starfish. A huge well done Felix, we are all so proud of you and we hope you are very proud of yourself.
GOLD AWARDS
Congratulations to the following children on being presented with a Gold Award for five mentions in the Log Book: Felicity, Chester, Logan, Stanley, Bluebell and Lily. This is Felicity’s tenth mention in the Log Book.
GOLDEN TICKETS
Our Golden Ticketers this week are: Josh and Anna (Minnows), Parker and Maya (Starfish), Otto and Raia (Seashells), Tasha and Ava (Dolphins), Reuben and Lawrie (Lighthouse), Mira and Daisy (Coral), Lyla and Nala (Ocean)
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
The class with the best attendance this week is Ocean Class with 100%. Although Scooby Doo made an appearance in the assembly, the Randomiser selected Randall for them to have for a week.
HARLEY SAYS….
Unfortunately, Harley Bear has a sore throat from getting over-excited at the thought of the World Cup starting. He is looking very sorry for himself. He says he will see you all on Monday.
ELLA
Ella had a gymnastics competition on Sunday in Uckfield and she came 1st place overall in her age category. She competed in floor and vault. Well done Ella
