Happy Saturday everyone.

As another academic year comes to a close, I am taking a moment to reflect on the excellent year we have had. From the bus respray to the whole school treats. The many Funky Friday Assemblies and stunning national swimming achievement. Our attendance figure puts us in the top 40% nationally and 58th in the County (out of 226 schools). Our WSCC adviser reports have been incredibly positive and we are one of the few schools to have a full intake in September. Our curriculum remains innovative and encourages children to be deep thinkers. And of course our Nursery continues to be hugely successful. One of the best decisions we have ever made. A huge thank you to our fabulous staff for their hard work and continuing to put the children first.

So what is to come in the autumn? A new school meal provider, a Learning Pod, a new SENCo, new clubs and an extension to our front entrance.

YEAR 6 LEAVERS

Our lovely Year 6 pupils enjoyed their bowling and party this week. They had a fitting send off during our final assembly, had their shirts signed and then left us through the balloon arch. We wish them all the best for the next part of their academic journey. They are ready!

FINAL ASSEMBLY

Thank you to everyone who joined us to say goodbye to Lou Clarke, Kayley Dixon and our Year 6 pupils. The assembly was full of celebration and even included Mr Herriott in a kilt for our version of ‘Mull of Kintyre’. Thank you for being a good sport Mr Herriott. A special mention to Remy and Flynn who looked so cool in the band.

NURSERY TIME

Our Nursery has been incredibly successful in its first year. The children have had a wonderful time engaging in the wide range of learning experiences available to them. To finish off the year, those moving into our Reception class in September enjoyed their graduation this week. Check out the article in the Shoreham and Lancing Herald.

VIM CAMPS

VIM Camps holiday club will be operating in school Mon to Weds each week on the following dates:

Week 1 – 27^th to 29^th July

Week 2 – 3^rd to the 5^th Aug

Week 3 – 10^th to the 12^th Aug

Week 4 – 17^th to the 19^th Aug

IRIS

Iris has decided to donate her hair to charity and is fundraising to cover the cost of turning it into a wig for a child or young person with cancer. She is being supported by mum and dad. Please check out the link:
