Happy Saturday everyone and welcome back to a new academic year.

The children have settled quickly and are already enjoying the learning in their new classes (although they looked very tired yesterday afternoon). We had a fabulous singing assembly this week and it was lovely to hear ‘Zorbing’ again. We’ve missed the children singing it. It never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Funky Friday Assembly will be back next week with Gold Awards, Oscars, Golden Tickets, singing, the Attendance Randomiser and plenty of celebration and fun.

SCHOOL MEALS

ISS have taken over as the new West Sussex school caterers. The food this week has looked and smelt lovely with various options and some very tasty puddings.

REMINDER: if you are booking a lunch for your child, please register through the invite that was sent to you and book the days that you would like your child to receive a hot lunch. You will be able to book up until 8:00am on the day that the meal is taken. The company cannot guarantee a lunch will be available if a booking has not been made. In these instances, please provide a packed lunch for the day. Lunches will be free for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme. However, you will STILL NEED TO BOOK A MEAL for your child. If your child is in receipt of free school meals across the school, you will STILL NEED TO BOOK A MEAL for your child. Children in Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 (Key Stage 2) will be asked to pay for their child’s meal.

ZORBING

As I said at the beginning of the blog, one of our favourite songs to sing in school is ‘Zorbing’ by Stornoway and Mr Herriott has been hanging out with the band. Here is a video from Ollie:
