Hello everyone.
Happy National Album Day.
Whether you prefer Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of The Moon’ or ‘Abbey Road’ by The Beatles. Whether you’re a Taylor Swift fan or enjoy a bit of Miles Davis – why not put those headphones on, take time for yourself and listen to an album this weekend.

CAPTURED
More fabulous learning moments captured by Mrs Noble…..
FUNKY FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
Thank you to the many parents and grandparents who joined us for our Funky Friday Assembly yesterday. It is always a fun occasion as we celebrate achievements from the week.
OSCAR
Congratulations to Flynn on being presented with an Oscar.
Flynn is one of the kindest pupils in Lighthouse class. He loves learning, is always asking thoughtful questions and works across all subjects with flair. Mrs Barnes often finds him offering words of encouragement to others. He is super at maths and enjoys explaining to his peers how to solve a tricky problem. Mrs Barnes says “Flynn is a pleasure to teach!” Well done Flynn.
GOLDEN TICKETERS
Oakley and Lauren (Minnows), Alicija and Eliza (Seashells), Alice and Rufus (Starfish), Izzy and Ivy (Dolphins), Daniel and Macey (Lighthouse), Ella and Theo (Coral), Ronnie and Beatrix (Ocean).
Well done to you all.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
The class with the best attendance this week is Dolphins Class with 97.8%. Lydia represented their class and chose to have Monkey for the week. Apparently she also made something for him.
YEAR 5 & 6 GIRLS FOOTBALL
Well done to the girls who participated in the Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Tournament at Shoreham Academy this week. Apparently, we only let two goals in and drew with the eventual winners. A special thank you to Dixie and Mrs Shukla for supporting the team. Well done to you all.
HARLEY’S CORNER
“Hello everyone. I’ve been out and about this week and enjoyed some quality time with Daisy, Mira and Delilah. That’s me laughing at one of Daisy’s jokes. I also met two young visitors this week Molly and Marlow. They were lovely. Speak to you tomorrow Grandma.”
AUTHOR VISIT
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils had an author and illustrator visit on Wednesday. Organised by Steyning Bookshop, the children had a chance to meet Helen Docherty and Steven Lenton as well as listen to ‘The Green Fingered Witch’. Pebbles Pre-school joined us for the event and had a lovely time.
CHESS
There was a tense match in chess club this week between Louis and Jesse. We definitely have two Grandmasters in the making…….
A FOODBANK THANK YOU
